Halloween 2025

Hey Friends!

IT'S ALMOST THAT TIME OF THE YEAR! You know the one - rainy, a little cold, definitely cloudy, everything is orange and red - literally the best time of the year. 

It's funny, you know? I don't know if it's strictly a "Millennial" thing or what, but the love for Halloween (and Autumn in general) has really grown the last decade. I sort of wonder if it is because it reminds us of an easier time - when we were kids and we didn't have to worry about much. No bills, no having to pick out what the hell to make for dinner every night (and then going grocery shopping, cooking, then cleaning it up...I hate dinner..). No real responsibilities. We didn't have to worry about politics or anything like that.

The world gets real quiet during Autumn, and stays real quiet until Spring.

I'm ready for it.

So this year's Halloween yarn is going to be a bit more "magical" than previous years. I'm going to be dying up 5 limited edition colors, all potion themed!

• Love Potion — tan brown, maroon, light pink, smoky grey
• Blood Moon Tonic — rust red, burnt orange, deep plum, smoky black
• Moonlight Elixir — ivory, soft lavender, deep midnight blue
• Pumpkin Spice Serum — rich pumpkin orange, cinnamon brown, cream, golden flecks
• Eternal Sleep Potion — dusty mauve, plum purple, charcoal, pale cream

  At least that's the plan for now.

  I've already got "Love Potion" in the pots and/or drying so that one is a for sure. We'll see how the test skeins for the next ones come out and go from there. You never know - sometimes colors just don't work as planned and changes have to be made.

  I'm going to try and have these on both Super Sheep and Sturdy Sock, with minis of both. However, I am running low on minis so I might not be able to get all colorways on those.

  It's been a rough few months between leaving my corporate job and ending an almost decade relationship with Etsy (not to mention the ECONOMY). So money has been a bit tight and I haven't been able to regularly replenish my yarn stock.

  BUT THAT'S OKAY - SILVER LINING - there will be Halloween Yarn and honestly, what's better than that?

  I'm going to try to have them dyed, dried and labeled by the first of September. Make sure to pay close attention to your inbox, email subscribers will get first dibs.
